THE VIRGINIA MINING COMPANY OF ROSITA, bond Bond, #33, issued October 15, 1877, uncancelled; several folds, very good plus condition. Bond issued on one of the early producing silver mining properties in the Hardscrabble Mining District, Custer County, Colorado. Mining property was actually within the town limits of Rosita. (Re: Page 193, Corbett's 1879 Colorado Mining Directory)
Oversized document: complete; red border; NOT cropped. Bond is complete and in near fine condition. Above scans are intended to give full view of front of bond. Signed by Thomas C. Parrish, as secretary. Parrish was an early Colorado promoter and politician. Later, he become more involved in the development and promotion of Colorado Springs; and, also the Isabella Mine of Cripple Creek.
