THE GRACIE ALLEN MURDER CASE, by S.S. Van Dine, published by Scribners, 1938. First edition, with original dust jacket. Book has the Scribners' colophon on copyright page, as well as "A" beneath disclaimer; and, "1938" on title page in Roman numerals. Book is in fine condition: it is almost spotless except for a short and light pen inscription on front paste-down and a tiny light discoloration on lower part of book spine. Binding is solid and tight; pages are bright and clean. Dust jacket has several short tears professionally mended; one tiny paper loss on spine matching tiny discoloration on book spine; and is price-clipped. This spot has also been professionally mended. This book is in remarkable condition (I wish most of my F. Scott Fitzgerald first editions were in this astoundingly pleasing state.) Price: $375.00
