THE GOLD KING MINES COMPANY Issued October 15, 1917; uncancelled. Issued on the original gold discovery claim in Poverty Gulch by Bob Womack. Signed by E.A. Colburn, Cripple Creek gold baron, owner of the Ajax and Strong mines. Issued to J.E. Hundley, financier of the first stage coach service in the Cripple Creek District. Condition: fine.

THE CRIPPLE CREEK MINING STOCK EXCHANGE ASSOCIATION of Cripple Creek, Colo. Membership Certificate Certificate issued February 15, 1905; corporate seal affixed in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Signed by Edward Bell as president. Condition: fine; usual two folds.

THE COLORADO SPRINGS AND CRIPPLE CREEK AERIAL TRAMWAY COMPANY Certificate issued June 11, 1910; uncancelled. Condition: near fine; usual two folds. Issued on a proposed aerial tram that would have been constructed from Colorado City, over Pikes Peak, to Cripple Creek. Company incorporated in 1910; corporate seal affixed in Colorado Springs.

THE MT. ROSA AND BATTLE MOUNTAIN TUNNEL AND GOLD MINING CO. Certificate issued September 8, 1896; uncancelled. Condition: near fine; usual folds. Oversized certificate. Stated on certificate: "Mines Located at Victor, Colorado, Cripple Creek, Colo. on Battle Mountain"

THE O.H.P.B. MINING AND TUNNELING COMPANY Certificate issued January 7, 1897; uncancelled. Oversized certificate. Condition: very good plus; usual folds. Stated in underprint: "Cripple Creek Gold Mining District." Corporate seal affixed in Pueblo, Colorado. Signed by O.H.P. Baxter as president. Baxter was a friend and business associate of H.A.W. Tabor.\

SOLD THE OLIVE BRANCH GOLD MINING COMPANY Certificate issued October 10, 1899; uncancelled. Stated in underprint: "Cripple Creek Gold Mining District." Signed by Henry M. Blackmer, Cripple Creek attorney and gold baron; years later, implicated in the Teapot Dome Affair in Wyoming. Certificate is in very good plus condition: one fold; lightly roughened edges. SOLD

THE COLORADO - PHILADELPHIA REDUCTION COMPANY Certificate issued on one of the Cripple Creek gold ore reduction companies owned and promoted by Spencer Penrose and Charles L. Tutt. Certificate issued August 14, 1899; uncancelled. Unique photo-vignette of actual reduction works in Colorado City. Issued to Charles B. Penrose, brother of Spencer Penrose. Condition: fine; light folds.

THE VICTOR MINING AND STOCK EXCHANGE ASSOCIATION Of Victor, Colorado Certificate of Membership. Issued to George E. Vanderwalker, December 12, 1895; corporate seal affixed in Victor, Colorado. George was the father of Joseph Vanderwalker (miner, mine lessee, electrician, photographer, historian of the Cripple Creek District) Signed by James F. Burns, as president. At the time, Burns was president of the great producer, the Portland Gold Mining Company. Condition: good plus; some folds, wrinkling, and several water stains.
