COPPER MANUAL Copper Mines, Copper Statistics, Copper Shares and A Reference Book on the leading Copper Properties. By D. Houston & Co., New York, April 1906 Volume 4 Press of The J.W. Pratt Co., New York Original green cloth binding, gold print on front cover; 164 pages; original endpapers; no illustrations. From Preface: "This book aims to deal with the principal copper companies and producers, specially those of the United States. There has been no attempt to ferret out and describe every one of the numerous concerns pretending to possess the merits of an actual copper mine by adopting a high sounding title, but which have given no demonstration of becoming either immediate or prospective producers of importance ... This work contains data from the latest official reports, and in addition thereto, other valuable information right up to April, 1906. The descriptive articles and other matter in this volume have been arranged in condensed form, so that the reader may find the salient features of the different properties succinctly stated ... American Copper production has increased from 60,480,000 pounds in 1880, to about 900,000,000 pounds in 1905 ...." This publication appears to be the last in the COPPER MANUAL series; however, few, if any, library sources have this book in their catalogue. Condition: very fine; strong, almost unused binding.
(Please note: the four volumes of the COPPER MANUAL listed above are sold as a set only.)
