First state dust jacket: reviews by T.S. Eliot, H.L. Mencken, and Paul Rosenfeld on inner front flap.  Minor fraying on top edge of front flap.

Please note: repair of a small chip to upper part of dust jacket fold-line, where the original "F." in F. Scott Fitzgerald was not replaced.  This small chip was professionally conserved; however, it is not known whether or not the "F." was intentionally left out.  Inside folds of dust jacket professionally conserved; and, the interior of the dust jacket spine has been conserved.

Book is clean and gold print on spine bright; cloth is very lightly sunned.

We are proud to present this exceptionally attractive original first edition of this important literary work.

Two light scuffs on back of book cloth; otherwise, very clean and fresh.

Signature verified as authentic by Professor Matthew J. Bruccoli, who wrote many important works on the  life and writing of F. Scott Fitzgerald, including a benchmark biography and an indispensible bibliography.  Professor Bruccoli also worked with Fitzgerald's daughter, Scottie, on cataloguing original F. Scott Fitzgerald archives for Princeton and the University of South Carolina.
